Apostille is the name of the international document legalization system.

Apostille certifies that the signature of a foreign civil servant and the legality of a stamp or seal, and that the document was issued by a legitimate entity. This allows you to use foreign official documents abroad.

Indonesia has recently become a member of this system, thanks to which the legalization of documents has become much easier.

Apostille is required when presenting important documents in a foreign country to ensure their validity. The Apostille is issued under the Hague Convention of 1961 and is recognized by over 100 countries, including Indonesia.

If you want to use any foreign document in Indonesia, or you want to use abroad any document issued in Indonesia, you need to make Apostille.

Apostille Indonesia is a one-page document certified by an officer of the Ministry of Law.

The Apostille document states that the attached document is legalized, authentic and internationally certified.
The Apostille document is in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
This document is permanently attached to the document you will want to apostill.

You can make the apostille of the document yourself at the Ministry of Law in Jakarta. The document must be original and/or notarized.
You can also outsource the entire legalization to us. We will collect the document and provide you with the completed legalization with all necessary steps.

The whole process can be carried out remotely without your presence in Jakarta.

The Apostille is applied  to documents issued by Indonesian institutions and other documents that have been notarized by an Indonesian notary public on the list accepted by the Ministry of Law and Human Rights.
For example:
– you can make an apostille directly for an Indonesian birth certificate
– you can make an apostille for the Power of Attorney, but before that you need to legalize it with a notary public accredited to operate in the Apostille system (we have such a notary public)

Remember, you have to check for yourself if the Apostille made in Indonesia is what you need for your case.

You have to send copies/scans of the documents you want to Apostille. Files will be verified by the Officer in the Ministry and we will present you the possible ways of legalization. The verification may take about 1-2 business days, depending on the occupancy at the Ministry.
In most cases, we can make an Apostille based on a copy if we also receive a KTP/Passport scan from you.

We do not accept documents delivery at our office in Jakarta. Documents are sent directly to the case officer, making our process much faster and more efficient.
